Sligo U16s were narrowly defeated by Offaly in the Fr. Manning Cup in Ballinalee, Longford on Sunday. A point down at half-time, Sligo started brightly in the 2nd half with two quick goals to go 5 points ahead. However, Offaly replied with a goal of their own and finished the game stronger to win by two points. Harps players on the panel were Alan Davey, Bryan O'Hanlon, Jake Stephenson, Kyle Cosgrove, Shawn O'Hara, Ciaran Dorrian, Bryan Molloy, Tomas Taheny and Ciaran Hannon.
