Congratulation to Lisa Casey and the Sligo ladies team on beating Leitrim in the Connacht Intermediate final last Sunday on a score line of 3:15 to 2:13.

Sligo minors are playing Galway on Sunday in the Connacht final at 12 noon in Pearse stadium. We have the strongest representation in years with Evan Lavin, Jonathon East, James O Hara, Alan Davey and Jake Stephenson on all the panel.

Congratulations to Meadbh Mc Cormack from Carn N.S. who won the Kerry McKeon Literacy Competition for 2017. This year we had a total of 68 essays up from 53 last year. Once again the standard was very high and we would like to commend both students and teachers for the effort and time that was put into these essays.

Bingo continues every Friday night in Gurteen Hall at 8.30pm. The jackpot is €2,400 in 49 calls or less. The in house lotto is €700.
