Last Friday our u14s travelled to Grange to play St.Molaise Gaels in the first round of their championship. The girls were victors on the day with a scoreline of 5-7 to 2-1. The girls will now play Eoghan Rua in Keash on Friday evening at 7pm.

Our U16s kicked off their Championship campaign last Tuesday night against Eoghan Rua down in Enniscrone. It was a tough battle for the two teams right till the end of the game but our girls won on a scoreline of 2-11 to 2-9 with our 2 goals scorers being Megan McCormack and Roisin Molloy. The girls will play Drumcliffe in the next round of their championship in Keash next Friday the 11th September.

The minor girls are in the playoff against ST.Nathys this Wednesday night in Gurteen at 6.45pm. The first round of their championship was against St.Nathys in Bunninadden, this was a very tight match with Nathys just getting ahead of our girls in the last few minutes to seal their victory. The second round brought Calry up to Keash in a very challenging match but with the girls playing well as a team they came out on top. Last week they played Drumcliffe in what was a must win match in the hope to be in a play off, the girls did this task and are now in the playoff on Wednesday night.

The Senior ladies started their Championship last Sunday fortnight (23rd August) also against Eoghan Rua in Enniscrone in atrocious weather conditions. They proved to be victorious in this game on an impressive scoreline of 6-10 to 8points. They continued their championship last Sunday morning at home to Curry at 10am. The ladies did very well in this game and once again came out on top to bag themselves a place in the semi-final next Sunday morning the 6th September. They will play the winners of the Curry/Drumcliffe match.

Our Gaelic for Mothers and Others team have been very successful in the couple of months it has been running. Our team travelled to Coola last week for a challenge and as to keep the competitiveness down we try not to keep the score (but we still won). They will also travel to Portmarnock to compete against other teams in  An All-Ireland blitz in October.

The G4M&O organisers would like to thank anyone who has supported their cake sales in the local villages and to please continue the support for the upcoming sales in the future.
