The under 12 girls got their league campaign off to a winning start on Tuesday evening last, with a comprehensive win away to St Nathys in Bunninadden. After losing half of last years panel to the under 14s, it was time for a new crop of girls to make their mark. The experience gained by the remaining girls from last years panel really shone through in their performance on Tuesday. Right from the first whistle, the girls got into the game and started to dominate in all areas of the field. Emma Stephenson & Maeve Molloy Commanded midfield and provided plenty of ammunition for the experienced forwards like Rionna Hannon, Eimear Connolly & Saoirse Ryan to fire over some fine scores. On the odd occasion St Nathys broke forward, they found a stubborn half back line of Emma Hannon, Ella Gallagher & Sarah Snee in no mood to be charitable on the evening. There were some excellent debuts on the evening for Sarah Conheady, Kaitlin Healy & Hannah Lennon. The girls ran out comfortable winners at the end by a score of 20 scores to 8.

Next up for the girls is a home match on Tuesday evening against Geevagh quickly followed by an away fixture on Thursday evening against St Michaels. Both matches throw in at 7pm.
