Match Report Vs St. Nathys 14th May 2016 - 17/05/2016

<< Go Back

On Saturday evening our Ladies made the short trip to Bunanadden to play St Nathys.  Played in ideal conditions, St Nathys started better and were in full control for the first 20 minutes.  Our girls settled into the game before half time and got some scores on the board.  In the second half, Harps played much better as they started to take the game to their opponents.  Showing great determination in defence to keep the home side from scoring a goal the girls began to work hard all over the pitch.  This hard work was rewarded as they scored 2 goals, firstly from Katie Gallagher, following a good save from Nathys keeper Noelle Gormley, and another soon after from Naoise Wilson.  St Nathys too, played some excellent football throughout the game and kicked a number of fine scores over the hour.  The home side ran out winners on a scoreline of 0-24 to 2-7 in a very sporting game.  The Harps girls, to their credit never gave up until the very end and had some good performances on the evening.  Their final league game is against St Mary’s but there are no details of this fixture as of yet.
