OT events continue this week as usual. Last Sunday the walk took place in the picturesque area of Strandhill in a 7 km walk over sand, forestry, rough terrain and eventually tarmac. A beautiful sunny but cold morning made the trip to Mamma Johnson's more enjoyable for the hot beverages provided by the committee. Next Sunday will see the walk leave from Ballinafad for an 8km family fun walk. Everyone welcome. An update on all activities can be found on our website and Facebook page along with photographs and light hearted blogs from participants.

The Ocean FM Pole Position quiz returns this Sunday evening where John O’Neill, Nicholas Murray and Brendan McHugh come up against Bunninadden and will be broadcast on the Sunday Sport programme between 6pm-7pm.

Congrats to our Scór na nÓg team of Ciarán Dorrian, Marcus Meehan, Shawn O’Hara and Matt Henry for their third place finish on Sunday last in Corhownagh Hall. They finished just above our other team of Bryan O'Hanlon, Tomás Taheny, Edel Henry and Aisling Dorrian. Many thanks to Ciaran Mc Govern for his assistance on the day.

Congratulations and best wishes to our former secretary Padraic Duffy who has just completed his term as Connaught PRO.

We wish Sligo well as they start their Division 3 league campaign against Armagh on Sunday especially Keith, Ross and Tony.

Commiserations to Paul Taylor and the Sligo U21 team who lost the U21 North West Cup to Mayo last Saturday. Michael Clarke started at wing forward and it also included Sean Bruen and Shane O’Grady on the panel.

Bingo continues as usual every Friday in Gurteen hall at 8.30pm. The jackpot is €3,600 in 50 calls or less. The in house lotto is €1,000 and in house lotto 2 is €600.
